聚丙烯纤维玻化微珠复合保温材料的性能

摘要:
分别采用碱处理、醋酸乙烯乙烯共聚乳液(VAE乳液)包覆处理对聚丙烯纤维进行表面改性,研究了聚丙烯纤维掺量(质量分数,下同)对玻化微珠复合保温材料力学性能和软化系数的影响.结果表明:与空白样品相比,聚丙烯纤维掺量为1.0%时,玻化微珠复合保温材料的抗折强度和抗压强度分别提高93.75%和7.30%;聚丙烯纤维经过碱处理和VAE乳液包覆处理均可改善复合保温材料的界面结合状况,与未改性聚丙烯纤维相比,经碱处理后的改性聚丙烯纤维使复合保温材料的抗折强度和抗压强度分别提高了14.52%和4.08%,软化系数基本无变化;经VAE乳液包覆处理后的聚丙烯纤维使复合保温材料的抗折强度和抗压强度分别提高了5806%和10.20%,软化系数增加了1250%.采用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)对聚丙烯纤维表面微观形貌及复合保温材料断口形貌进行观察,探讨了改性聚丙烯纤维对玻化微珠复合保温材料的增强机制.

Performance of Thermal Insulation Materials of Polypropylene Fiber Reinforced Vitrified Small Ball

Abstract:
Effects of the polypropylene fibers, modified by alkali treatment and VAE emulsion coating treatment, on mechanical properties and softening coefficient of thermal insulation materials were investigated. The results show that compared with the control samples, flexural strength and compressive strength of samples with polypropylene fibers content of 1.0% (by mass) are enhanced by 93.75% and 7.30% respectively. Interfacial bonding between polypropylene fibers and matrix is improved after the fibers were modified by alkali and coating treatments. Compared with unmodified fibers reinforced samples, flexural strength and compressive strength of samples, with polypropylene fibers modified by alkali treatment, are increased by 14.52% and 4.08% respectively, however, softening coefficient keeps almost the same. The flexural strength, compressive strength and softening coefficient of samples, with the fibers modified by VAE emulsion coating treatment, are increased by 58.06%, 10.20% and 12.50% respectively. Micro morphologies of polypropylene fibers before and after different modifications, and fracture morphologies of the samples observed by SEM can be used to elucidate the mechanisms of modified polypropylene fibers in improving performances of vitrified small ball thermal insulation materials.
