Abstract:Reactivity effect and its mechanisms of fly ash in high performance concrete (HPC) were studied. Results showed when m W/( m C+ m FA ) is lower than 0.35, the mortar with 30% by mass of fly ash in cementitious has the compressive strength ratio more than 0.95, and the concrete with 50% by mass of fly ash in cementitious has the compressive strength at 28 d more than 60 MPa. It was proved that fly ash displays better reactivity effect in HPC.
