Abstract:In this paper, the effects of calcination temperature, holding time and content of dolomite on the strength and expansion rate of cement mixed with calcined dolomite were investigated. The higher the calcination temperature, the lower the strength, and the higher the free linear expansion rate of cement stone is. The longer the holding time, the lower the strength, and the higher the free linear expansion rate of cement stone is. The content of dolomite has no significant influences on the final strength of cement. By proper control of calcination temperature, holding time and content of dolomite, the hardened cement paste with suitable expansion can be made, which plays a role in shrinkage compensation of the paste, reinforcement and improvement of impermeability.
