Abstract:The effect of pre-conditioning on CO_2 curing of block concretes was studied.The results indicate that change in moisture content of the specimens during the pre-conditioning period,instead of the pre-conditioning time,has a significant effect on the CO_2 curing of block concrete.When the specimen loses certain available moisture,the degree of CO_2 curing achieve the highest value.The strength of specimens increases as the degree of CO_2 curing increases,and can be very close to that after conventional steam curing.CO_2 curing of concrete has many environmental and technical advantages and can be regarded as a new promising sustainable technology.
